The one that the wonderful faithful Fr. George Rutler had Pastored and renovated in the full tradition to give the highest glory to Our Lord. And the one that Fr. Robbins who took over for Fr. Rutler, demolished in short order to look like the ugly modernity that seems to be now in control. Wonder where the 'good Cardinal' was to allow such an abomination??!!

I happened to click on EWTN last night just in time to watch the 'good Cardinal' spewing his nonsense about how he respects this Pope more and more on his 'ability' and 'willingness' to allow the Holy Spirit to work as he did in the Synod. And how it 'bothers him' that people seem to think that everything in the Church is now 'up for grabs'. How that really 'troubles him'. So patronizing, I wanted to throw something at the TV. It's really infuriating.TLMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16185788425122984772noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20981956.post-7181652346083272482015-11-09T15:17:02.197-05:002015-11-09T15:17:02.197-05:00I hear you Dorota! Those in my own Parish, and of course the 'Catholic' sites and Blogs that seem to be in a perpetual LA LA LAND. You know, the 'everything is beautiful' crowd. 'The Pope is wonderful, and the Church is benefiting SO MUCH from him!!' One of our clergy I have tried to talk to and in person, he is in full agreement, but online he is praising the 'glories' of Our Holy Father and how wonderful he is! It's painful. When the Blessed Mother said the faithful would have much to suffer, she meant it....and we haven't even seen the WORST of it yet! I hate to be such a downer, I have always been so optimistic about everything. It's going to get even uglier, and I believe more ugly than we can even imagine. Lord have MERCY. How to break down the brick wall of DENIAL that some of these people are in?! The Lord God will have to do a lot of it Himself, as it seems sometimes our efforts are completely futile.

TLMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16185788425122984772noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20981956.post-90619609623001041862015-11-08T13:48:53.096-05:002015-11-08T13:48:53.096-05:00Dorotha, those "Catholics" from South Am...Dorotha, those "Catholics" from South America were probably pagans, like most of the people I see in church on Sundays, the priest included...gee I'm becoming so hard hearted and intolerant...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20981956.post-18707207569959483472015-11-08T02:38:50.797-05:002015-11-08T02:38:50.797-05:00I tried to talk to some people tonight, all suppos...I tried to talk to some people tonight, all supposedly Catholic from South America. Should go out more often, in order not to loose touch with reality (nothing like this blog), or better yet - stay at home all the time. They were all embarrassed for me, I think. What nonsense I speak! I gave facts and names, which no one else knew, but I was the ignorant one. When some began to worry about the harmful effect of religion on education, and no one objected... I knew I should never have opened my mouth. These people do not even register in the slightest degree the spiritual warfare that is so palpable to me, I feel like a soldier on the front-line all the time. These Catholics hate religion and love Francis. They avoid at all cost the name Jesus. The Holy Spirit has been driven out, along with His active gifts and charisms. Adulterers and sexually active homosexuals may, in a restricted sense, still be called branches on the True Vine. But there is no "vivifying" sap within them. The truly "merciful" approach to them and others in an objective state of soul death is to help raise within them the knowledge of God's eternal truth, the desire for holy repentance, and a sincere amendment of life. All this must depend upon God's gift of converting grace. Only then will they be living members of the Church, finally faithful and fruitful.
Second, regarding the so-called supremacy of conscience: As I have understood it, there has never been such a teaching in the Church. Rather, we are to obey our conscience only if it has been informed and formed by Jesus Christ Himself. The Lord's Word of Life and Truth is conveyed surely and authoritatively in Sacred Scripture and in Sacred Tradition, both of which are delivered to us and protected and interpreted by Christ's only Church. Consciences formed by this infallible Teacher may indeed be safe and sure guides.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18339510554847953260noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20981956.post-70946192226318671412015-11-07T20:40:14.572-05:002015-11-07T20:40:14.572-05:00Well,the Church of Rome has been apostate since th...Well,the Church of Rome has been apostate since the Council of Nicea....so what's a little heresy and schism every now and again?Armigeroushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09114004122090896563noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20981956.post-16734171239339535992015-11-07T19:57:50.825-05:002015-11-07T19:57:50.825-05:00Thank you for continuing to speak the truth, when ...Thank you for continuing to speak the truth, when truth has become anathema. I had not attended the extraordinary (then ordinary) Latin mass since the 1960s when I was an altar boy.

The article by Father Antonio Spadaro SJ is about what one can expect given what has transpired during this pontificate and specifically in the train wreck of the recently concluded synod on the family. The strategy of Pope Francis and his allies to change the Church is becoming more clear and has, as far as I can discern it, six main tentacles .... so far.

1. Repeatedly assure Catholics that doctrine is not changing, only pastoral practice. All is being done out of mercy and solicitude for souls. The practical effect will be a gutting of doctrine as happened with Humanae Vitae through the infamous Winnipeg statement by Canadian Catholic bishops.

2. Promulgate a new pastoral approach on annulments which eliminates most of the canonical safeguards protecting the sacrament of matrimony from abuse by "progressive" heterodox clergy. Pope Francis did this just prior to the synod. Again all in the name of mercy.

3. Use the commentary approved by the synod fathers respecting the internal forum in a manner inconsistent with Saint John Paul's the Great's encyclical Familiaris Consortio (quoting from it but leaving our vital aspects that make clear its teaching) to support admitting those in adulterous civil marriages to Holy Communion.

4. Hurl abusive insults (pharisees, hard hearted, hurlers of stones etc.) on Catholics who adhere to the 2,000 year old magisterial teaching of the Catholic Church and the words of Jesus Christ on this matter. Note to file. Civilly divorced and remarried Catholics were not being driven from parishes by torch wielding lay people led by stone throwing priests. Insulting the faithful on this matter is sheer mendacity.

5. Deliberately twist the concept of the internal forum and the primacy of conscience (which must be rightly formed) to allow Catholics in adulterous relationships to receive Holy Communion and exonerate heterodox clergy and their who so counsel their approval.

6. Devolve authority over pastoral practices to national councils of bishops (using a false concept of inculturation) in that will in effect obviate the catholicity of the Church. YTHis is a direct attack on one of the four "notes" of the Church. What is not allowed in one country will be allowed in another. How Anglican. How catastrophic for Catholicism.

All of this is being done for the stated purpose of being merciful. All of based on a false dichotomy between Church doctrine and mercy. All of it is contrary to the faith and morals of the Holy Catholic Faith. All of it is being led, to my horror, by Pope Francis himself. It is modernist heresy in action; the synthesis of all heresies. Let those who have eyes to see, see. Catholics must resist. It is our baptismal duty.John the Madhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17899858119936750764noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20981956.post-14062680332796258722015-11-07T16:43:02.219-05:002015-11-07T16:43:02.219-05:00They are working on their own destruction and do n...They are working on their own destruction and do not know it ,pity them ,they will follow countless others who tried to destoy the Church only to be dashed to pieces by The Rock ,the Real Church is the body of beliverers ,not the buildings ,Christ said "Where two or three are gathered in My Name I am there with them ".Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20981956.post-89658521642813943282015-11-07T14:43:41.499-05:002015-11-07T14:43:41.499-05:00Gracias Vox for your fortitude in keeping up the p...Gracias Vox for your fortitude in keeping up the pressure on these deviant prelates and spelling it out for all to read. If only there was more that we ordinary folk could do, but it primarily is up to the Traditional Cardinals to make the first move. This they should do quickly and not allow this vile situation to be foisted upon us and permeate the Truth. It is their duty to denounce this Pope and the Cardinals that support and encourage him - surely they must recognise this by now and start the proceedings. The editor of the paper that reported about PF having a brain tumour should now come forward with the written evidence that he stated he has. This would be a great help in getting PF to stand down as it rightfully could be said that it would affect his judgement, and probably has done.

After Archbishop Schneider's tremendous analysis of the Synod I had hoped to see follow-up interviews with Cardinals Sarah, Pell, Burke & Bishops Lenga & Gadecki, amongst many others who profoundly disagree with PF's intentions. We need a concerted effort by ALL Catholic bloggers to keep knocking away at the renderings of these old, masonic, mafia & heretical men who are helping Satan in his last ditch to overturn everything that Jesus Christ came on earth to establish and gave His life so that we could be saved. They just never had the faith to begin with and certainly don't believe in a life hereafter.

Keep up the tremendous work you are doing. We depend on you greatly for receiving the true account of what is happening in the Vatican & other parts of the world that are being so badly affected by their heretical output.Ana Milanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13614286775064340959noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20981956.post-30000859157141421742015-11-07T13:40:45.842-05:002015-11-07T13:40:45.842-05:00The letter of 'The Thirteen' Cardinals lai...The letter of 'The Thirteen' Cardinals laid out fears and concerns for the upcoming Synod. Once the hate-filled egomaniacal pope reacted to it via leaks, some scurried for the hills; eg, 'four cardinals said they did not sign any letter and two others said the letter published by Magister is not the one they signed.' The pusillanimous Cardinal Dolan's explanation as to how he came to sign the letter read like a school boy who, now in trouble, regrets being involved with the culprits. From his first four words, “All I know is," you know he's proclaiming his innocence and goes onto identify, not the other twelve but, Cardinal Pell by name, as if to say, "He's the one, he's the one who made me do it."

And before the Synod had even started, Before the Synod Had Even Started, Dolan then abjured in his 'Nuntium Innocentiae', that the pope had allayed all of his concerns, “I said ‘Way to go, Pope Francis. You told us to be honest; we were. You answered right to the heart, I’m grateful that you paid attention, let’s get on with the work.’”

This is the way the game is played. And if, in five years, a traditional pope is once again elected, Dolan will tout his leadership role in the letter of 'The Thirteen', and Pell won't be mentioned.Maudie N Mandevillehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07608333522668477953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20981956.post-45064851531044049412015-11-07T08:53:54.776-05:002015-11-07T08:53:54.776-05:00How will papal spokesJesuit Federico Lombardi spin...How will papal spokesJesuit Federico Lombardi spin this from his fellow Jesuit: As the unreliable rantings of a slipshod senile journalist?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
