Many men are also misled... bishops, sadly have their "groupies" whispering "now is not the time..." "let us wait for another day" etc., etc. <br /><br />Though we pray for our bishops it must be said that, many - far too many - have bitterly failed the Church, the Holy Father, their priests and religious and the laity. <br /><br />The spectre of the bishops cheering the reference to the Quiet Revolution at Trudeau's funeral mass was tragic. Can one imagine the French bishop's cheering the 1789 revolution? Sadly, the Quebec bishops - virtually to a man - betrayed the Church - not in what they said, but usually in what they did not say. <br /><br />"Your excellency, now is not the time... maybe in 50 years". NO your excellency - NOW IS the time. Souls are at stake. Preach the Gospel, in season and out of season. Be a bishop for all seasons. Prepare to lay down your life for the Gospel. Be courageous.
