Stop Saying that We Aren't Saying the Mass!

For all those so very holy Catholics who continue to not see the reality of the public health crisis and who fail to understand that the Mass does not need them.

As it has settled down, I am restoring the open combox. If you attack this writer, your comment will be deleted and you will be blocked.

In Oregon, people are calling 911, because they have run out of toilet paper. This is not an isolated incident. People are calling 911, emergency services, because they don't have toilet paper to wipe themselves, and to them, this constitutes an emergency on the same par as a call to 911 for medical emergencies. Ok? This is where we are, as a people, we are this dense.

So Catholics falling apart because Mass is held privately, for the time being, due to an international crisis, is not a total surprise, and really, the blame goes to the church, for poor catechesis. Why don't more Catholics understand the reality of what this good priest is saying. They haven't been told. And they have grown so distrustful of our church leaders that whatever they do surely must be wrong, so they close the Mass, it has to be without cause and for nefarious purposes. Look at where we are.

For he that will save his life, shall lose it: and he that shall lose his life for my sake, shall find it. For what doth it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his own soul? Or what exchange shall a man give for his soul? Matt 16:25-26

For whosoever will save his life, shall lose it: and whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel, shall save it.
For what shall it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For he that shall be ashamed of me, and of my words, in this adulterous and sinful generation: the Son of man also will be ashamed of him, when he shall come in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. Mark 8:35-38

For whosoever will save his life, shall lose it; for he that shall lose his life for my sake, shall save it. [25] For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, and cast away himself?
[26] For he that shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him the Son of man shall be ashamed, when he shall come in his majesty, and that of his Father, and of the holy angels. John 9:24-26

Whosoever shall seek to save his life, shall lose it: and whosoever shall lose it, shall preserve it. Luke 17:33

He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world, keepeth it unto life eternal. John 17:25

Now is that great day and hour come when we are asked of what metal we are made. Now is the time when we must live the gospel or deny the gospel.

He that agrees with everything you say and does not correct you when you are needing of it is not your friend.

This could have been a good teaching moment.

Precisely, Kathleen. May we use this time to become better Catholics.

God bless you, and keep safe.

You're right Vox, this unadulterated, homogenized BS. Certainly a prequel for the next stunt. Get ready for the police state coming soon to your neighborhood.
