So sad, The lord blessed us with our pets, they are part of the family. I know not much is said about our loved pets in relation to what happens to them when they die, but i truly believe that one day they will become part of the new heaven and earth. Sorry for the loss of your little faithful friend Vox!

All things bright and beautiful. All creatures great and small. All things wise and wonderful. The Lord God made them all.

So sorry Vox....I KNOW how real is your pain. Dogs are one of God's finest gifts to man; a tangible, undeniable sign of His love for us. And one of the very few things I disagree with St. Thomas Aqu. on is the status of dogs re: Heaven. If we love our precious furry friends this much, I'm quite sure that God loves them more. I have a great confidence that Heaven will be teaming with dogs. :)

now, cats?.....yyeeeaahhh....maybe not so much :):):)

A venerable age for an elegant lady. She's gone running over that rainbow bridge.
I'm sincerely sorry for your loss, our pets are family, fully members of the family. A dog really is a gift from God, they give us so much love and they ask so little. When you bring a dog to anything after 12 years, then that dog was blessed as well, because it takes care to get a dog to that age. And what a blessed life. Children are considered disposable today, let alone dogs, and many dogs are just abandoned and spend their lives going from house to house. So if Roxie spent many years with you, she was blessed as well, and that's as good as any pup can hope for.

I remember reading a story about a woman who lost her dog, and was bereft, and who said that if her dog was not in heaven she didn't want to go, and the priest said he didn't know if dogs were in heaven, but if it were true that you couldn't be happy without your dog in heaven, then your dog would be there, because we are all happy in heaven. I'm looking forward to meeting again my loved ones who have gone on, and can't wait to see all my dogs and cats running over the hill to meet me, please God.

Roxy was a beautiful devoted little girl. You were blessed by God to have such a lovable, sweet pet. She was always the delight of the party! As I have referred to her before: "Her Majesty".

@Paul Morphy

The loss of a beloved pet dog is painful and I commiserate with your loss, Vox.

Like others have said here, God gives us pets and animals in order for us to look after them, and they in turn can look after us. Dogs are a fine example by their affection and loyalty.

It's just a dog.

And what does that moment say about you?

How fitting Roxy was pictured in front of the image of Our Holy Mother. Gift from the Creator.
Unconditional Love........

For anyone who says ,"it's just a dog" has missed this point. What a sad soul!

What a beautiful girl Roxy was. So friendly, vivacious and full of life. God blessed you and the Fox with her presence in your lives. Roxy was also a most faithful and devoted companion of your late, dear, sweet mother. God is good.
