The response to Cardinal Sarah's remarks reveal the evil cabal in the Vatican itself - they can't hide anymore, they have exposed themselves

Phil Lawler has an instructive column at catholicculture.org and an astute observation:

"In the process, the cardinal clearly hit a nerve. The overwrought reaction to his speech showed how very nervous some Catholic leaders are about any possible change to the liturgical status quo. (And by the way, is anyone completely happy with the current state of the Catholic liturgy?) Even the Vatican's response appeared wildly disproportionate.
Cardinal Kasper suggested a dramatic change in Church teaching and sacramental practice, and the Pope offered him a forum at a meeting of cardinals. Cardinal Marx suggested that the German bishops were ready to write their own rules, and drew only a quiet demurrer from the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. But Cardinal Sarah makes a suggestion—for a practice that is already allowed under existing liturgical guidelines, and that was championed by Pope Benedict XVI—and immediately the Vatican press office blew the whistle and called a foul."

Father Richard Cipolla, writing at Rorate states in reference to the situation that:
"It seems that there is no limit to the nonsense that Father Lombardi allows himself to spew forth in defense of the indefensible.  We hope that once he lays aside this burden, as he will very soon, he can return to more spiritually profitable endeavors. The ideology that lies behind that repudiation of Cardinal Sarah’s exhortation to return to the Traditional posture of the priest at Mass rang out quite clearly in the Clarification.  It is an ideology that has for so many years prevented the Church from restoring the liturgical life of the Church that is necessary for the mission of the Church to the world.  It is an ideology that has no basis in Tradition and in fact is a break with Tradition.  Anyone who still believes that the Mass of Paul VI is continuous with the Roman Rite of Catholic Tradition needs to get out into the fresh air more."

The other day, I called the Novus Ordo a "bastard rite." I am not the first to use this expression.

In the same piece at Rorate Caeli blog, Father Cipolla reminds us that:

"The heart of the ideology driving the post-Conciliar reform of the liturgical books is the destruction of  the Traditional understanding of the Mass as a sacrifice, namely, the re-presentation of the Sacrifice of Calvary, the offering of the Son to the Father.  Without the Roman Canon, which the reformers tried to get rid of entirely, that the Mass is a sacrifice is not evident in the three new Eucharistic prayers."

If that is not a "bastard rite" then I do not know what is. What will it take to get Catholic to wake up to the fact that Sacrosanctum Concilium was a seriously flawed document; that it was a compromise between radicals and what the Fathers would accept, an error on their part to be sure. What will it take for Catholic to understand that Pope Paul VI, for whatever reason, allowed himself to be manipulated and bamboozled by evil men such as Annibale Bugnini? How can a Catholic sit there, knowing anything about history, about the faith, about what existed in practice and conversions before and after their all powerful Council and say with any conviction that it is good?.

It is a disaster and the world is burning and it is the fault of the Pope, the Bishops, the Priests and John and Mary Catholic who refuse to follow the Faith of Our Fathers!

The Novus Ordo liturgy is "banal." It is a "manufactured.. These were Joseph Ratzinger's words, not mine. It is destructive to the Faith. It is horizontalist and feminised, it is Pelagianism in its fundamental development. It is a Modernist calamity that has cost millions of souls. It cannot be reformed and we have seen that in this topic on "ad orientem" and that is already part of the Missal of Paul VI.

Father Cipolla continues at Rorate:

Furthermore, the very rubrics of the Paul VI missal assume that the priest is celebrating ad orientem.  It is distressing to have to repeat all of this at this time, but the fact is that most of our bishops may have never read the rubrics in English let alone Latin.  At the "Orate fratres", the rubric reads:  Stans postea in medio altaris, versus ad populum….The obvious and easy English translation is:  Then, standing in the middle of the altar, turning  to the people….Why should he turn to the people if he is already facing them?  There are other examples where the rubric calls for the priest to turn to the people.  And again, it is tiresome to have to go through these explanations once again.  But after what happened in the slap down of Cardinal Sarah by the powers that still be, one has to rehearse certain facts and show how it is sheer ideology that has driven and continues to drive the intense hostility to the Traditional understanding of the Mass as the Holy Sacrifice (despite pious talk about the Holy Sacrifice).

How many times does it need to be repeated. Lombardi and his ilk are either plain stupid, or they are evil.

Let this writer not scandalise you, but let this.

If you cannot be scandalised by a Bishop of Rome who refuses to genuflect to Our Lord on the Altar at Mass but can grovel to wash the feet of a Mohammedan woman on Holy Thursday and literally hundreds of others over the years in violation of liturgical law, thus bastardising the ancient ritual, then you should surely not be scandalised by my words.

Look, if the Pope wants to give example of visiting the poor and washing their wounds or their feet, this is a wonderful thing. Let him do it. Let every bishop and priest and ourselves take up the work. But not on Holy Thursday! Frankly, Jorge Bergoglio, in this regard, is nothing more than a narcissistic, egoist. What man would do such work in front of world-wide media rather than to let his good works be done in secret, that he not receive the praise and adulation of the world. It is hypocrisy of the worst kind. There is no humility in it. Just as there is no humility in living at the Casa Santa Marta versus the Apostolic Palace. It costs more to keep him in the hotel! Where is the humility in this. It is all a show.

It is a lie.

Nor should my Sedevacantist friends rejoice that I am ready to jump into the deep and join in their error, but I love them just the same.

Habemus Papam! For better or worse.

What we have is exactly what Popes and Doctors, Saints and Prophets and Holy Scripture with Holy Tradition and various apparitions of Our Blessed Mother have told us. What we have is exactly what St. Pius X warned us about in Pascendi. What we have is exactly what the tin-foiled-hat Catholic has been saying for years: Freemasons and communists and sodomites have infiltrated the Church of Christ and are now at Her highest levels in order to destroy the faith from within and create a new cult of man that will aid in the globalist agenda of world domination.  That is exactly what we have!

That Federico Lombardi, S.J., James Martin, S.J., Anthony Spadaro, S.J., (development of theme, here) along with Cardinals such as Nichols and other priests, press and commentators would ignore the obvious from Kasper and Marx but would condemn the actual truth expressed by Cardinal Sarah of the reality of the Missal of Paul VI, today, right now, without any change whatsoever and with no so-called. "reform of the reform" is indeed, instructive. It is more than that, it is revealing.

It reveals that these men are evil. That they do not understand the Holy Mass. That in all of their education, they are nothing more than Modernists. They have no supernatural faith. They have lost all belief. They are malefactors and swine, they are filthy bastards who must repent or they will go to Hell for what they have done not just to their own souls but to millions of others.

Let me add this comment from my good friend at The Eye-Witness, Aged Parent, who writes:

The fast track to oblivion is in full swing thanks to all the incoherent ramblings of an unstable man and his proclamations, the most damaging of which is without question Amoris Laetitia, brilliantly dissected by Mr James Larson here and in the writings of others.  With that exhortation all Hell is about to break loose.  Indeed the results are already before us.  Francis has unleashed a runaway train.

Many have valiantly tried to get it through the Pope's head that he is leading the Church to schism, heresy and disaster.  His autocratic stubbornness has made their pleas, so far, fall upon deaf ears.  He is a child of the Society of Judas, of Teilhard, of de Lubac and Rahner and as such is not open to an Aquinas or a Chrysostum or certainly not an Athanasius.  As H Reed Armstrong recently noted in Christian Order:

Pope Francis has caused this. He has allowed it. It matters not what he told Cardinal Sarah before. what matters is what he has done, or at least permitted, now.

Do not focus on what they say. Focus on what they do.

You've sadly got it all correct.

On this, I have a question: "Many have valiantly tried to get it through the Pope's head that he is leading the Church to schism, heresy and disaster. "

Who? And what happened to them?

The requirements for the holder of the Seat of Peter must be:

1. Belief in the Triune God.
2. Belief that Jesus is the Son of God & Second Person of the Holy Trinity.
3. Belief in the Resurrection.
4. Belief in the Ascension.
5. Belief in the Descent of the Holy Ghost.
6. Belief in the Creed.
7. Belief in Transubstantiation & Liturgy of the Old Rite as most pleasing to God.
8. Acceptance of the Ten Commandments in toto.
9. Acceptance of ALL the sacraments given us by Jesus & make them accessible to all.
10. True reverence to Our Blessed Lady (Mother of the Son of God, Daughter of the Father, & Spouse of the Holy Ghost).

He should be required by the CDF to make a public oath of adherence to the Truth which the CC has upheld for nigh two thousand years of else be dismissed. He then is free to go to Lund as an individual & join the Lutherans. Whether they would want him or not is another question & his St. Gallen Group (Mafia) supporters should quickly follow.

"... This is precisely the light in which all the holy servants of God consider their afflictions ; for, from whatever immediate source they come, they receive them all as from the hand of God — they look upon the malice and crimes of those who injure them merely as the instruments which He uses for their punishment, or correction and advancement in virtue, and as such they love them and do them good. To the examples of this truth mentioned above, add these others : When Joseph made himself known to his brethren, considering all the cruel treatment he had received from them as the orders of the Divine Providence, he comforted them, and said, "Be not afraid, and let it not seem to you a hard case that you sold me into these countries, for God sent me before you into Egypt for your preservation." A little after he repeats the same, and adds, "not by your counsel was I sent hither, but by the will of God." And after his father's death, when they feared he would then revenge the injuries they had done him, and sent a message, asking his forgiveness, he wept for concern on their account, and said, " Fear not; can we resist the will of God? You thought evil against me; but God turned it into good, that He might exalt me as at present you see, and might save many people: Fear not, I will feed you and your children; and he comforted them, and spoke gently and mildly." And our Saviour received the cup of His passion in no other light but as sent by His Father, and considered His enemies only as the instruments made use of by Him. He also earnestly prayed for them with His last breath upon the Cross, instead of bearing any resentment against them. Oh, happy those who seriously consider these truths, and imitate these holy examples! They already enjoy a foretaste of heaven itself, even in the midst of this valley of tears ; no evil can come near them ; for what the mistaken world calls evil is to them a real good, a source of joy and consolation. In everything they see the finger of God, in everything they adore His Divine Providence, in everything they rejoice for the accomplishment of His will : and hence they learn, by the most endearing experience, that "all things work together for good to them that love God."

There is a consoling truth that deserves our attention: nothing can happen to us that God does not expressly will to happen to us. Not that He wills the sinful action of another by which we are injured, but that He wills the injury."
(Quoted from Bishop George Hay, The Sincere Christian, pp. 31-42.)

Applying this to the Vatican II church, God expressly wills to use it as an instrument to chastise the world. He is not the author of its sins, but he concurs with their effects that you and I must suffer. To deny this would implicitly deny the omnipotence or the goodness of God, by saying that He is unable or unwilling to prevent the evils that come upon us by means of Bergoglio and company.

Peter,

If you read True or False Pope? by John Salza and Robert Siscoe with an open mind, I hope that you would have the humility to admit that you were wrong.

Sedevacantism in essence is calling Our Lord a liar. When He said that "...the gates of hell will never prevail against it" and "I will not leave you orphans." He meant it.

If there is no legitimate Pope and no legitimate Cardinals, then WHO determines where the next legitimate Pope will come from? There's a bunch of sedevacantist "Popes" out there. Do you follow one of them or not? If not, why not?

I hate Sedevacantism with a passion, but I do NOT hate sedevacantists nor do I hate you.

May Our Lord look upon you as He looked upon your namesake

And the Lord turning looked on Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, as he had said: Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And Peter going out, wept bitterly. (Luke 22: 61-62)

Vox said..."Just as there is no humility in living at the Casa Santa Marta versus the Apostolic Palace. It costs more to keep him in the hotel! Where is the humility in this. It is all a show."

Vox, it is liberals and traditionalists who have spun the humility angle in regard to Pope Francis and Casa Santa Marta. Liberals pretend that Pope Francis lives at the hotel to present himself as a humble man. The liberals' game is to pretend that each Pope (except Saint John XXIII) prior to Francis was arrogant.

Traditionalists have spun the Pope Francis/Casa Marta angle to "prove" that Pope Francis plays the humble card to show off to the public.

But His Holiness Pope Francis has declared publicly that he stays at Casa Santa Marta as he prefers to live in the midst of people. He also enjoys communal dining.

The humility spin is the result of liberals and traditionalists who have portrayed Pope Francis in such fashion to advance their respective agendas.

In fact, Pope Francis denounced the "Pope Francis as Superpope", a Pontiff who is superior to his "arrogant" predecessors, spin that certain folks concocted.

Let us be fair to Pope Francis in regard to why he prefers to live at Casa Santa Marta. Again, he prefers to live and eat in the midst of people, which he believes that the hotel offers him.

Pax.

'Do not focus on what they say, focus on what they do.' BINGO Vox!!!
THIS is the key to reading character and intention. I have said this about Obama and others who say noble things and then turn around and DO the OPPOSITE. You must LISTEN to what they say, yes, but then watch what they do and compare the two. Only then will you see the 'Alinsky' plan in action. People have to see that they are all working together, which is a VERY frightening thought, however this is REALITY. Socialists, Communists, Modernists, Freemasons, whatever label you wish to tag them with, they are all ONE EVIL FORCE that are now organized and working 'in tandem'. Lord Jesus through your Sacred Heart and through the Immaculate Heart of your Mother, give us the grace and COURAGE to persevere in YOUR Holy Will,in what is coming at lightening speed. Holy Mother keep us all under your Mantle of protection.

My prayers are now daily for Vox and all faithful Catholic bloggers that are fighting for Christ and shining the light in the darkness of our Church and our world. May God BLESS you all abundantly!!!

Dear Margaret, Thank you for being frank. I suspect your knowledge of sedevacantism might be based on the wiki article, which is very misleading. Cranks who elect their own popes are just nuts - not sedes. Sedevacantists are faithful Catholics who adhere to the Catholic doctrine that heretics are ipso facto excommunicated from the Church and no longer being members, cannot hold positions of authority in the Church. They believe that the Church is indefectible and that all Catholics submit to the Pope. They believe everything and do everything as the Church has believed and done until the death of Pope Pius XII.
The judeo-masonic invasion of the Church is objectively provable. The conciliar "popes" are demonstrably masons and therefore excommunicated heretics devoid of authority, (apart from all their other numerous heresies.) We sedes are comparable to St. Athanasius and his followers in their time of heresy. Bishop Sanborn, Fr. Cekada, C.M.R.I. etc. - these are the sedevacantists we are.

"Sedevacantism in essence is calling Our Lord a liar. When He said that "...the gates of hell will never prevail against it" and "I will not leave you orphans." He meant it."
Dear Margaret you are so terribly mistaken. The "gates of hell" means heretics. What Our Lord is saying, is that heretics, or heresies will never prevail against His Church. Our lord has not and will never leave us orphans. He is just where He has always been - with his Church which is visible in its members - that's all faithful Catholics. We sedevacantists are fighting the conciliar apostasy with all our might and proclaiming unadulterated, true, immutable Catholic doctrine to all who will listen.

Peter Lamb said...

"If there is no legitimate Pope and no legitimate Cardinals, then who determines where the next legitimate Pope will come from?"
Our Lord will determine that Margaret. There is a legitimate (legally elected) (material) pope and there are legitimate (material) cardinals. You clearly do not understand the meanings of "material" and "formal". I tried in a post, or two back, to explain these terms as clearly as I could. These terms are commonly used in theology - material and formal heresy; matter and forms of Sacraments etc.
If Bergoglio converted to Catholicism and renounced all his heresies, he would immediately become a true, formal Pope. The same applies to the cardinals, who would obviously have to be conditionally ordained in the old rite, by a Bishop consecrated in the old rite, where applicable.
Let us not worry about where the next Pope will come from - that's Our Lord's business. All we need to know is that there will again be a true Pope; that the gates of hell will not prevail; That the Church of Christ will be restored and will endure to the end of time. Just remember - Our Lord is in control.
Dear Margaret, your hatred of sedevacantism is based on misunderstanding. If you are interested, I will send you, privately, articles to explain it all to you much better than I can.
For now, my message to you is:
1. A heretic cannot be Pope formaliter and a Pope cannot become a formal heretic.
2. The Catholic Church is indefectible. The Faith can never change. No novelties.
3. The novus ordo church is not the Catholic Church.
4. Pope-sifting is schismatic and heretical.
5. Salza and Siscoe are controlled opposition keeping good souls like yourself within the ambit of the novus ordo. Burn their book. It is leading you from the Faith. Salza was a 32nd degree mason. Do you know what that entails? He has "walked away" scot free without retribution - how likely is that? Has he really left? What he writes persuades me otherwise. Read the oaths and penalties of each masonic degree. The falsehoods in their book have been repeatedly exposed by knowledgeably Catholics and only deceive the poorly informed.

Finally, I frequently hear about the "heresies" and "errors" of sedevacantism, - always non-specific. I would welcome anybody pointing even a single one out to me - while limiting the debate to Catholic doctrine.

Dear Margaret, I will pray that the Holy Ghost will bring you understanding and the many others like you. I really will. God bless you. :)

Peter,

I cried after reading your posts.

First of all, it's kind of you to pray for me. Be assured that I will pray for you too.

However, I think you have misunderstood some of what I said.

First of all, my understanding of Sedevacantism I'd NOT based on the Wikipedia article. I have read about sedevacantism and also had 2 NO acquaintances (one was very devout) who after reading TC literature, left the Church for sedevacantism. Also, I would be in a bad marriage if I had married the one NO gentleman who became SV. I went on retreat (SSPX) to discern whether or not I should marry this man. The priest didn't argue with me or try to sway me in any way. He just said to me:. "Our Lord Jesus Christ is the best Spouse of all, and He always provides.". At that moment God enlightened my soul and gave me the grace to break off the engagement. Otherwise I wouldn't be writing you today. So my experience with Sedevacantism is based on personal experience and study.

So please let me respond to your posts.

1) The judeo-masonic invasion of the Church is objectively provable. Touché.

2) The conciliar "popes" are demonstrably masons and therefore excommunicated heretics devoid of authority, (apart from all their other numerous heresies.)

Says who? You? Me? I think you are confusing the SIN with the CRIME of heresy.

In True or False Pope (TOFP), the authors distinguish between the CRIME of heresy and the SIN of heresy. The SIN of heresy God alone knows unless the person reveals it to the priest in Confession.

However, the CRIME of heresy CAN be proven objectively. It is up to the Cardinals (yes, there are a few good ones!) to do their duty and rebuke publicly the Pope (cf. Gal. 2).

Example: When Pope Paul VI was considering changing Church teaching on contraception, 2 Cardinals rebuked him and told him that if he did that, they would publicly call him a heretic and unworthy of the See of Peter. Pope Paul VI backed down and did not change Church teaching on contraception. The result was Humanae Vitae, for which he was crucified by the world.

3) "We sedes are comparable to St. Athanasius and his followers in their time of heresy.". To the best of my knowledge, St. Athanasius was una cum Pope Liberius. When Pope Liberius was tortured and signed a semi-Arian document, St. Athanasius prayed for him. Eventually Pope Liberius repented and publicly disavowed the semi-Arian creed.

Quite frankly, I would compare + Archbishop Lefebvre with St. Athanasius.

4) If you read TOFP, you will find that the authors make distinctions between material and formal heresy etc. Honestly, I think that if you read the book, you would understand it much better than I.

Final thought for now: I vehemently disagree with what you said about Mr. Salza and Mr. Siscoe.

I have to stop now so I will continue in another post.

Dear Margaret, Daughter and kids on their way back to America. Wonderful holiday. I have given much thought as how to answer you. I don't think quoting theology will help. You have seen it dozens of times. Saint Louis Marie de Montfort says that a man who prays the Rosary daily, WILL NOT be led astray and I think that's our answer. Say 5 decades daily and ask Our Lady to guide you and then just relax. God bless. :)
P.S. Just finished virtually assisting at Mass offered by Fr. Miller in New Mexico! Saw and heard perfectly in South Africa! Wonderful sermon on how to increase one's confidence in God.
Just discovered "biblewalks.com." I think protestant, but great maps and pictures of holy sites. Dreadful to see NO altars in the holiest of places. Well, it won't last for ever.
