Satan eats his own - pray for the dead

Forty-nine and maybe more to come, dead. Fifty to include the blood-thirsty Mohammedan.

Many of them were Hispanic and most likely, Catholic.

They rejected the truth or were never given it.

Priests and bishops and teachers and parents and other will pay for leaving these poor souls in the darkness of the sin which cries out to heaven for justice.

Pray for their poor souls.

Islam is the other enemy.

Both are curses upon the earth.

Both are means of chastisement.

Both are means of chastisement...VOX you nailed it again. But the MSM and official RC church media will not describe it this way, it will turn into more gay pride.

The New-Churchers are so fanatically devoted to the god of 'Dialogue' that I expect it is only a matter of time before some Novus Ordo cleric erects a monument that is intended to encourage dialogue with ISIS.

I will certainly be praying for the victims of this terrible massacre, their families and friends but I must also say - What a very sad individual you are! What sort of God do you worship? It much be one that preaches hatred, not love. You certainly need prayers directed your way, as well.

Simply the best post I have read on this subject.

I just posted an article at my site and saw your new headline - the Voxes (sp?) speak with one voice. Two scourges! May God help us.

Very good Vox. You have captured the essence of this massacre in a few words.

But as everyone knows this problem was caused by fanatical Christians who hate homosexuals, Muslims and love guns. Obama and Hillary will have a ready solution:
---Designate Christians as a hate group and establish re-education centers for them. ---Make Islam a culturally protected religion.
---Seek more gun control legislation.

Okay, these were not people trying to shove a sex ed program past Ontario parents onto their innocent children. However shallow, shabby and harmful gay club culture may be--and there are many (if not most) mainstream dance clubs that ooze sexual license--it doesn't follow that the victims were "Satan's own." You carry Joseph Sciambra's stuff; I don't think Joseph would through phrases like that about.

Saint John Paul II may not be your favourite pope ever, but I think all Catholic pundits should keep his Catechism in mind:

2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.

The jihadist is a Mahometan Saint and a most faithful follower of Mahomet for he actualised the teachings of Mahomet:

Muhammad, the perfect man, in Islam, taught this:

“If you find anyone doing as Lot’s people did, kill the one who does it, and the one to whom it is done.” (Abu Dawud 38:4447) And: “Stone the upper and the lower, stone them both.” (Ibn Majah 3:20:2562)

The man who did the killing is a Muslim Saint and should be referenced as such

Aw come on, TH2. Give me a freaking break. Fifty dead and fifty more in hospital. This is a great time for Christians to underscore that we have a problem with sins and the culture of death, not with people per se. Non-violent resistance to tyranny is one thing, but there are power-crazed ideologues, including the ones in Queen's Park, and then there are straying sheep who were in the wrong place at the extremely wrong time. If a crazed gunman calls in his ISIS allegiance to 911 (as what? a kind of get-into-Islamic-heaven-insurance?) and shoots up some sleazy Top 40 dance club on Queen Street West, I seriously hope Vox doesn't write "Satan eats his own" about those victims too.

I might.

But here's hoping that it doesn't happen.

Vox mentioned "souls".

I have read several public responses from various Churchmen to the mass murder that occurred in Orlando. Absent from one response in question after another is word "soul". Absent from the responses is the grim business that is death. Absent from the responses is the notion that Satan seeks to devour souls...and that includes the souls of those murdered in Orlando.

Absent from our Churchmen's responses that I've read is the sense of the Traditional Catholic notion of death and the vital need to pray for souls.

Instead, I have encountered one generic..."pray for the victims" statement after another from our Churchmen. For what am I supposed to pray? Please understand that the following is not offered in flippant fashion. I have seen the videos of grieving parents, relatives, and friends of the dead in Orlando. I am not in any way attempting to be funny or sarcastic.

But for what am I supposed to pray? For good weather to arrive in time for the victims' funerals? For the victims to be placed in decorative coffins?

Vox knew as a Catholic to have couched the Orlando mass murder in spiritual terms. Vox, didn't dwell upon the notion of "victims". Instead, thanks to his powerful Catholic identity, Vox knew to invoke the far more important reality that we are dealing with "souls". That is, rather than reduce people to the status of "victims", thanks to grim reality of death's dark shadows, we had better focus upon the fact that we are dealing with "souls"....eternal salvation...Heaven, Hell, and Purgatory.

The responses from our Churchmen have reminded me of last week's "interfaith" memorial service in Louisville, Kentucky, for Muhammad Ali. Monsignor Henry Kriegel offered a "prayer" (actually, he informed us that Mr. Ali was a great man) that was devoid of any notion that Mr. Ali was in need of spiritual assistance as his grim hour of death had arrived.

In fact, Monsignor Kriegel refused to begin and end his "prayer" with the Sign of the Cross...never once mentioned the saving name of Jesus...never invoked the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Our Churchmen have reduced the hour of death to a generic..."pray for the victims" (what does that mean..,pray for what?), and be sure not to make the Sign of the Cross.

Oh...and thanks to the lack or decent religious instructions, the odds are that public tributes for the dead in Orlando will feature people placing teddy bears and balloons at public "shrines".

Crosses will likely be absent from said "shrines"...as will be the Sign of the Cross when our Churchmen participate in "interfaith" "celebrations" for the "victims" in question.

"Souls"...Vox is right. We are talking about the dire issue of "souls". Unfortunately, our Churchmen talked about something else.

Bishop Robert Lynch of Saint Petersburgh, Florida, has offered the following in response to the mass murder that a Moslem committed in Orlando, Florida:

"Second, sadly it is religion, including our own, which targets, mostly verbally, and also often breeds contempt for gays, lesbians and transgender people. Attacks today on LGBT men and women often plant the seed of contempt, then hatred, which can ultimately lead to violence."

I hope that Bishop Lynch offers examples as to how the Catholic Religion "targets," "mostly verbally," and often breeds contempt for gays, lesbians and transgender people".

That is typical of our Churchmen. Islam is behind yet another mass murder. Our Churchmen attempt desperately to shift attention from that to the preposterous claim that Catholicism targets "mostly verbally," "and often breeds contempt for gays, lesbians and transgender people".

Utter garbage. Sick.

Is there any wonder as to why wave after wave of Catholics leave the Church daily? Is there any wonder as to why millions of Catholics lack even the most basic sense of Catholic identity?

A Moslem murdered 49 people in Orlando, Florida...and we are left with a bishop who has taken time today to claim that the Holy Catholic Religion targets and "breeds contempt for gays, lesbians and transgender people".

Would Bishop Lynch dare to claim that "gays, lesbians and transgender people" who frequent nightclubs that cater to such persons have contempt for God? No. But he will blast the True Religion.

What sort of God do you worship? One that is merciful, but one that is also just. People seem to be forgetting that quite a bit these days.
Here it is in black and white, if you cannot take the truth from a fellow Catholic, read it here. We should pray, pray that there were some among them who repented before they died and turned to the Lord in contrition. Pray for their families and friends to see the lie and prison of the lifestyle they were living.

"Shameless nation, come to your senses before you are driven away like chaff blown by the wind, before the burning anger of the Lord comes upon you, before the day when he shows his fury. Turn to the Lord, all you humble people of the land, who obey his commands. Do what is right, and humble yourselves before the Lord. Perhaps you will escape punishment on the day when the Lord shows his anger." Zephaniah 2:1-3
"...It has not listened to the Lord or accepted his discipline. It has not puts its trust in the Lord or asked for his help. Its officials are like roaring lions; its judges are like hungry wolves, too greedy to leave a bone until morning. The prophets are irresponsible and treacherous;; the priests defile what is sacred, and twist the law of God to their own advantage. But the Lord is still in the city; he does what is right and never what is wrong. Every morning without fail, he brings justice to his people. And yet the unrighteous people there keep doing wrong and are not ashamed. The Lord says, "I have wiped out whole nations; I have destroyed their cities and left their walls and towers in ruins. The cities are deserted; the streets are empty - no one is left.I thought that then my people would have reverence for me and accept my discipline, that they would never forget the lesson I taught them. But soon they were behaving as badly as ever. "JUST WAIT," THE LORD SAYS. "WAIT FOR THE DAY WHEN I RISE TO ACCUSE THE NATIONS. I HAVE MADE UP MY MIND TO GATHER NATIONS AND KINGDOMS IN ORDER TO LET THEM FEEL THE FORCE OF MY ANGER." Zephaniah 3:1-13 (one of the last books of the old Testament)

"Don't think that you can sin and get away with it; the Lord does not mind waiting to punish you. Don't be so certain of the Lord's forgiveness that you go on committing one sin after another. Don't think that his mercy is so great that he will forgive your sins no matter how many they are. He does show mercy, but he also shows his furious anger with sinners. Come back to the Lord quickly. Don't think you can keep putting it off. His anger can come upon you suddenly, and you will die under his punishment..." Sirach 5:1-8

If it were any other facet of life other than the Catholic church I would have long ago abandoned it. With as much objectivity as I can muster the truth is obvious, our church is filled to the very brim with homosexuals and homosexual enablers. One or the other but what's the difference, both are choking off the Catholic faith with zeal. Archbishop Lynch's comments are, as was stated, absolutely despicable. I often wish with all my heart we could bring Bishop Fulton J. Sheen back for one hour, he would lay out these reprobates and in no uncertain terms identify the evil men who have used the Catholic Church as a way to advance their lifestyles and get free health care to boot. There can be no other reason for these men, they are responsible for how many souls gone to Hell. For this they will not avoid God's punishment, but it's terrible to observe.
We ought to care about anyone going to Hell, but thanks to these churchmen, mention Hell and you are being judgmental, and pretty soon the stones will fall on you.
Let no massacre go un-utilized, the wheels of manipulation are already creating the narrative that this shooter may as well have been a Catholic priest. Resistance to the LGBT movement will be compared to this Islamic shooter's diabolical violence.
