Is Cardinal Ravasi a Freemason?

A number of times I have written on this blog about the infiltration of Freemasons into the upper hierarchy of Holy Mother Church. This is nothing new, we have been warned about this for over a century or more from our holy popes.

After the election of Pope Francis, the Grand Orient Lodge of Italy's Grand Master stated that "nothing would be the same again."

I have also written about the disgraced Emeritus Cardinal of Washington, Theodore McCarrick's statements in a talk which revealed that he was lobbied to vote for Jorge Card. Bergoglio and to "talk him up."

Today, Rorate Caeli has broken this:

Cardinal Ravasi calls for Dialogue with Freemasonry - Excerpts

Dear Brother Masons

Over and above our different identities, there is no lack of common values: a sense of community, charitable work and the fight against materialism.

Gianfranco Ravasi [Cardinal President of the Pontifical Council for Culture
IL SOLE 24ORE
Sunday, February 14, 2016
[Excerpts]

“…These various declarations on the incompatibility of the two memberships in the Church or in Freemasonry, do not impede, however, dialogue, as is explicitly stated in the German Bishops’ document that had already listed the specific areas of discussion, such as the communitarian dimension, works of charity, the fight against materialism, human dignity and knowledge of each other.

“Further, we need to rise above that stance from certain Catholic integralist spheres, which – in order to hit out at some exponents even in the Church’s hierarchy who displease them – have recourse to accusing them apodictically of being members of Freemasonry. In conclusion, as the German Bishops wrote, we need to go beyond reciprocal “hostility, insults and prejudices” since “in comparison to past centuries the tone and way of manifesting [our]differences has improved and changed” even if they [the differences] still remain in a clearly defined way.”

The Grand Orient Lodge of Italy has it on their web page.

No Catholic can be a Freemason. It is contrary to the One, True, Faith and the Church. The mission of Freemasonry is the destruction of the Catholic Church, globalism, corporatism, one world religion and world government. It is evil and despicable in every way. It is an excommunicable matter for a Catholic and one that risks the very soul.

Ravasi is guilty of grave scandal, in the least.

He might be, but what we know for sure, is that according to the New Church theology, no group, no entity is "off the table" when it comes to dialogue. That is certainly what Ravasi is saying. It is all a consequence of the amazing "openness" of the Church to the world. The Church has no enemies and it is possible to build bridges and make friends with anyone. Who knows, maybe Ravasi will soon be advancing the cause of dialogue with my father? We are not far from that stage.-Screwtape.

Freemasons worship Lucifer.
Catholics do not dialogue with the Devil. We rebuke him.

As you say, we have been warned of this infiltration for over a century but nothing was done to eschew it. It needs to be totally exposed before it can be eradicated. Investigative journalism of a high standard is needed here in order to get to the core of this cancer that has beset the CC. It will be necessary to name all individuals in the Papacy/Hierarchy/Curia going back in time to Pius XII who are/have been Freemasons &/or Communists so that the NO Church can be totally unmasked.

Cardinal Ravasi on his Twitter Account has asked the question "What will separate us from the love of Christ"? I have responded "Freemasonry perhaps??" Of course, this will not be shown.

Dear Ana Milan,
even the highest quality investigative journalism won't help in rejecting Masonry that has been exposed and has exposed itself quite enough.
It is precisely the Masons who authored this pointless dialogue between irreconcilable positions. Something that is exclusive (only through me...) is not at the same time all-inclusive.
Masons are that which God has said He hates - the lukewarm, the hypocritical.

Because, of course, they will have us and own lower ranks believe that it doesn't matter what we believe, as long as we do good works together, for justice and peace. Where have I seen last? Oh, Francis, of course.
They themselves, as we all know, have a rather precise set of beliefs - own godhood not being of the least importance.

Gustavo Raffi uttered that statement on March 14, 2013 A.D. On July 28, 2013 A.D., His Holiness Pope Francis condemned Masonic groups.

Pope Francis: "Masonic Lobbies...This Is The Most Serious Problem for Me"

Pope Francis, The Vicar of Christ, has condemned Masonic groups. That is what is important to me in regard to Masonry..

"This Is The Most Serious Problem for Me." You call THAT condemnation?!

Freemasonry won't get a pass as long as His Holiness Pope Francis is Pontiff. Just a few months into his Pontificate, not only did Pope Francis condemn Masonic groups publicly, but Rorate Caeli reported the following:

May 25, 2013 A.D.

http://rorate-caeli.blogspot.com/2013/05/freemason-defrocked.html

Freemason defrocked

"A Catholic priest at the posh French ski station of Megeve has been stripped of his functions at the request of the Vatican for being a member of a Masonic lodge, his parish said Friday.

"A communique on the home page of the Diocese of Annecy simply states that "a priest of the diocese" (whose name is not mentioned) has been a member of the Grand Orient of France since 2001, and confirms that he has been dismissed at Rome's request."

Vox, sorry to go off-topic for a minute, but I used to hear beautiful chants each time I opened and read your blog. Did you do away with that feature?

"Freemasonry won't get a pass as long as His Holiness Pope Francis is Pontiff."

You're right. Freemasonry won't just get a pass. It'll get the deluxe, all-inclusive super pass. His Eminence Gianfranco Cardinal Ravasi, President of the Pontifical Council for Culture and member of the Roman Curia is delivering it.

What will the Bishop of Rome do about it?

Qui tacet consentire videtur.

Mark, the music was programmed on application called wikiplayer by importing links directly from Youtube. At some point late last year, YouTube started attaching those ads to them. Originally, the videos chosen did not import the ads but that changed and I could not control what ads or how long they would be. So, one would log on and hear a commercial for thirty seconds or a minute on every video link. If I can figure out a way for that not to happen I will put it back.

Thanks for all you visits and comments.

God bless you.

Vox, thank you for your blog and permitting me to offer opinions here. I know we disagree on certain things, but not about the Faith. Thank you for the information about the music. That was an interesting feature that you offered to your readers. Maybe you can correct the problem that you mentioned. Peace and good health to you and your family.

Ravasi is papabile. That doesn't mean much, it's anybody's guess (as we now know all too well), but the Italian Cardinals do want the papacy back, and Ravasi is one of the key players among Italian Cardinals. The Conclave likely will not swing to the Italian conference, but if it does, well, a wild card, but possible!

Re: music, videos and such, sorry to say it's not a "problem". It is now an intentional and automatically included feature.

YouTube is free. Google is free. Facebook is free. They were available for a while at no charge to get you to the point you believe you cannot live without it.

Now the "price" you pay for these internet services is a barrage of commercials, ads and popups, sometimes of a pornographic or violent or secular nature.

Just another indicator of Christians being gradually sidelined from society to the point we will need to say mass "underground" and perhaps live apart like the Amish.

I hope not. That would fly in the face of Pope Francis' anti-Masonic public comment. Plus there is good news in that Cardinal Ravasi made it clear that there is "incompatibility" between "memberships in the Church or in Freemasonry..."
Therefore, we have that and the fact that Pope Francis declared publicly that Masonic lobbies are "bad".

If there is incompatibility between the Church and freemasonry, why call them "cari fratelli massonni" ?
Pope Francis's people specialize in ambiguity, but by their fruits you shall know them.

Mark Thomas said...

Whatever Pope Francis' "people" may have said is one thing. What His Holiness Pope Francis said about Masonry is a different matter. The fact is that Pope Francis declared publicly that Masonic lobbies are "bad" and are of grave concern to him.

In November 2013 Putin visited Pope Francis to speak of other topics, but Putin did ask about the Fatima consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
The Pope answered, "We do not speak of Fatima," and a Russian military attaché present said later that he "understood this said so as to be a 'snub'." He went on to say that Cardinal Ravasi, standing near the Pope commented "We will destroy Fatima." The Military attaché said Ravasi was standing by a statue of Our Lady of Fatima when he said this.
