Pope Francis has spoken out against abortion and gender ideology

A reader, Mr. Mark Thomas, has quite clearly corrected me for a blog post two below where I insinuated that Pope Francis in speaking about environment issues and forests has not spoken out against abortion or the false-idea of marriage between sodomites and lesbians.

Mr. Thomas has provided evidence that Pope Francis has spoken out clearly on the matter of abortion and gender ideology.

I have been duly corrected by Mr. Thomas, I thank him and apologise to him and all of you for not reporting accurately and in giving an opinion that is tainted by two and half-years of near daily utterances, appointments and license to episcopal and clerical enemies of the faith to continue in their work under the nose of this same Pope.

I ask for your prayers that the Lord will forgive me for the zeal for His house which has consumed me and for a lack of charity.

Mr. Thomas is right.

I think you can say that Pope Francis fails to say something agaisnt abortion and gay marriage in important moments like when Ireland was discussing gay marriage or when Supreme Court of the US did the same, or like problems with Planned Parenthood.

But, yes, Pope Francis said many words aains abortion and gay marriage. Let´s pray for Pope Francis, let´s pray that he follows the Holy Spirit. Let´s pray for the Church.

God bless you and Mr. Mark Thomas.

Best,
Pedro

Does Pope Francis mean those words. He clearly said the Pro Life Movement was over when he told Catholics to stop the Culture Wars. His actions on the other hand on joining the Baby Killers on Climate Change invite these monsters to the Vatican and allow these wicked men and women to insult faithful Catholics who believe this to be a scam which it is all about population control and global carbon taxes which will sink the economy and make the globalist banksters rich with billions of dollars none of it going to the poor. The promotion of Contraception and Abortion is the agenda of the UN and the Pope has not come out a publicly admonished these baby killers. He mentions a little bit but falls short on what he can do but will not. But the Pope will admonish anyone who will act tooo Catholic. This is the problem and it's going to get worse after the Synod.

Dear Brother in Christ, Vox,

It was at least one hour ago that I opened your blog this morning to read your latest posts. You post has uplifted me greatly and taught me a lesson in humility.

When I read your remarks, I was compelled to examine my conscience. I thought immediately that I may have been uncharitable and scolding to you in my defense of His Holiness Pope Francis.

Brother, I apologize to you. I have begun today with a great lesson in humility. You have taught me well and inspired me to work to increase my sense of humility.

Thank you.

Vox, please note that there is a sense in which you were correct about Pope Francis' apparent lack of anti-abortion (and contraception) statements.

America Magazine on Thursday September 19, 2013 A.D. published online (September 30 in their print edition) an interview that they had conducted with Pope Francis. In that article, the news media and various pro-abortion groups interpreted the Pope's comments on abortion, contraception and homosexual "marriage" as his being" soft on those issues.

That same day, the National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL) posted the following in large letters on their Facebook page:

"Dear Pope Francis, Thank you. Signed, Pro-choice women everywhere."

The Culture of Death folks wished people to believe that Pope Francis was on their side. But 24 hours later, on Friday, September 20, 2013 A.D., during an audience with doctors, Pope Francis had issued a powerful condemnation of abortion.

Pope Francis had confounded the followers of Satan's Culture of Death.

Vox, during that same interview with America Magazine, Pope Francis acknowledged that until that point in his Pontificate, he had not spoken frequently about abortion (and contraception).

Pope Francis had acknowledged that he had been "reprimanded" for that.

In other words, in September 2013 A.D., His Holiness Pope Francis acknowledged that he knew that many Catholics had been saddened by his seeming silence on abortion and contraception.

In fairness to Pope Francis, he had spoken against anti-life issues prior to that. For example, on May 12, 2013 A.D., Pope Francis joined the 40,000 pro-life advocates during Rome's March for Life.

Pope Francis exhorted the Catholics present and everywhere to continue to promote the Culture of Life.

Vox, Pope Francis has acknowledged that he has made mistakes as Pope. He had known early in his Pontificate that he had made the mistake of having not spoken more frequently against the Culture of Life.

Beginning on Friday, September 20, 2013 A.D., His Holiness Pope Francis acknowledged the cries of his Pro-life children...his brothers and sisters.

From that time to date, Pope Francis has issued numerous Pro-life, anti-Culture of Death declarations. Time and again since September 2013 A.D., Pope Francis has condemned abortion, artificial birth-control, the persecutions against Christians...

Pope Francis has corrected, so to speak, his "mistake". Today, there isn't any lack of silence from Pope Francis in regard to his promotion of the Culture of Life and condemnation of the Culture of Death.

Vox, the Pope's willingness to humble himself and your willingness to humble yourself has taught me well. I am the one in need of humility.

I thank His Holiness Pope Francis and you.

I also thank you for tolerating the length of this post.

Pax.

"Does Pope Francis mean those words. He clearly said the Pro Life Movement was over when he told Catholics to stop the Culture Wars."

That is incorrect.

Just three weeks ago, His Holiness Pope Francis praised and sent his Apostolic Blessing to the Day of Life participants in England and Wales. On July 26, 2015 A.D., the Catholic Church and Pro-life activists in England and Wales celebrated Day of Life.

Pope Francis praised the Pro-lifers and their work. He then imparted his Apostolic Blessing "upon all those persons who are participating in this significant event and working in any way for the promotion of the dignity of every human person from the moment of conception until natural death."

I am not certain as to why you claimed that Pope Francis said that the Pro-life Movement was over.

Pope Francis just expressed his praise of and support for the Pro-life Movement and its participants.

Pax.

The Pope said to stop obsessing over Abortion and CONTRACEPTION. Then Cardinal Timothy Dolan said the Culture Wars were over and we must move on. Come on Mark. The Pope says one thing and does another. Were there not Baby Killers with the Pope a couple weeks ago. Did they not scold Catholics that did not believe in Climate Change. Did the Pope admonish the Baby Killers in as Gov. Jerry Brown who was there with that Mayor of New York. Has the Pope come out and condemned the dissecting of babies that Gov. Brown seems to support because he's been silent also. So please to say I'm incorrect is not correct. Thank you.

Pope Francis never said that we should stop obsessing over abortion and contraception.

That supposed statement, which Pope Francis never uttered, was manufactured by the news media on September 19, 2013 A.D.

Pope Francis had granted an interview to America Magazine. On September 19, 2013 A.D., Ametrica Magazine published said interview on line.

In that interview, Pope Francis had made the same point that Pope Benedict had made in 2006 A.D.

On Thursday, November 9, 2006 A.D., Pope Benedict XVI declared that when he used to grant interviews, reporters obsessed with the same issues.

Pope Benedict XVI stated? "I remember, when I used go to Germany in the 1980s and ’90s, that I was asked to give interviews and I always knew the questions in advance.

"They concerned the ordination of women, contraception, abortion and other such constantly recurring problems.

"If we let ourselves be drawn into these discussions, the Church is then identified with certain commandments or prohibitions; we give the impression that we are moralists with a few somewhat antiquated convictions, and not even a hint of the true greatness of the faith appears.

"I therefore consider it essential always to highlight the greatness of our faith – a commitment from which we must not allow such situations to divert us.”

That was the point that Pope Francis had made during his America Magazine interview that was published on September 19, 2013 A.D.

The news media that day misrepresented Pope Francis' statement.

Headlines screamed: Pope Says "Church Obsesses With Abortion, Contraception".

"Don't Obsess With Abortion," Says Pope Francis.

Again, the fact is that Pope Francis never said such a thing.

The following day, Friday, September 20, 2013 A.D., Pope Francis issued a powerful condemnation of abortion and exhorted doctors not to perform abortions.

His Holiness Pope Francis made certain that the wolves in the news media who had twisted his words got the message.

From Friday, September 20, 2013 A.D. to date, Pope Francis has time and again condemned abortion and contraception.

Pax.

So how are people to take the Pope's words when he said that they shouldn't breed like rabbits ? Is this against abortion and contraception, or for it ?

Mark Thomas said...

FLOR solitaria said..."So how are people to take the Pope's words when he said that they shouldn't breed like rabbits?"

Dear Flor solitaria, His Holiness Pope Francis apologized for that remark. Pope Francis has acknowledged that he has made prudential mistakes as Pope. The "rabbit" comment in question, uttered during a press conference, is an example of the off-the-cuff mistakes that Pope Francis has made.

He even attempted to walk-back his "rabbit" remark seconds later during the press conference in question.

Several days later and on occasions since then, Pope Francis has praised Catholic who raise large families.

The Pope attempted in his "rabbit" remark to explain the notion of responsible Catholic parenthood. Unfortunately, his remark was imprecise. Again, he apologized for any hurt and/or confusion that his remark had generated.

If Vox permits, I offer the following story from Life Site:

Pope Francis sorry for remarks perceived as insulting large families

"Pope Francis has apologized, through a Vatican archbishop, for remarks from his flight on the way home from his visit to the Philippines that were perceived by many as demeaning to large families.

In comments to the Italian bishop’s newspaper Avvenire on Thursday, Vatican Archbishop Giovanni Becciu said, “The Pope is truly sorry” that his remarks about large families “caused such disorientation.”

Archbishop Becciu said the pope “absolutely did not want to disregard the beauty and the value of large families.”

The apology stems from January 19 remarks on the plane trip back to Rome from Manila in the Philippines.

Remarks by the pope on that same flight comparing the imposition of the homosexual agenda by western countries to indoctrination by the “Hitler Youth” and even his statement to Catholic couples that they can’t marry if they aren’t open to children, were almost entirely ignored by the media.

The media did, however, catch remarks in which, while speaking of "responsible" parenthood, the pope cautioned against Catholics being “like rabbits.”

Francis opened with some rather harsh statements about a woman he knows who he said was pregnant with her eighth child after having the first seven by C-section. He said he had “rebuked” her, saying, “But do you want to leave seven orphans? That is to tempt God!”

Later during the in-flight interview, Francis returned to the woman, adding, “That is an irresponsibility. [That woman might say] 'no but I trust in God.' But God gives you methods to be responsible.”

The pope’s first move to calm the furor was to note in his Wednesday, January 21 General Audience, “It gives me consolation and hope to see so many large families that welcome children as a true gift from God.”

Francis also dismissed the notion that large families are a cause of poverty. “I would say that the main cause of poverty is an economic system that has removed the person from the center and has placed there the god of money, an economic system that always excludes children, the elderly, the youth," he said.

Then came Archbishop Becciu’s statement to Avvenire expressing the pope's sorrow on January 22.

Pope Francis himself was the eldest of five children."
